Project overview
The Be Cool Solutions project started as a joint venture of mine and a friend from summer camp.
We saw an opportunity to create a B2C product from the Aluminet shades being sold on Green-tek.
The first thing we needed to do was find out who our customers would be.
User research
Our research began with discovering who are the people that are in need of portable high quality shade cloth.
We started creating personas of these people and the main one was people that participate in dog agility competitions and need to travel with their dogs often while having time that their dogs are left in the sun.
Competitor analysis and market research
The USA had a few options for these kinds of shades so we wanted to begin with a market that is not familiar enough with these shade solutions.
We learned that in Europe the shades used in dog shows and competitions were of low quality and people were all ways looking for ways to improve the shade.
So we began our journey targeting the EU market.
Website Restructure
We wanted to create a clean and easy to use website that will show our target audience exactly what we are selling and why they should use our products in the first 5 seconds they come to our site. We enhanced the visuals of the homepage with info graphics and a better header. Another addition was testimonials that will give the visitors the social proof that they need to believe in the product.
